In the afternoon on May 20, 2015, International Institute for Financial Studies (IIFS) organized a forum to promote internationalization at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE). Vice-President Xiaoping Wang and Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Overseas Education Center (OICE) Long Xiao attended this forum. Faculty members of IIFS suggested some possible solutions to problems such as “lack of academic leading experts at the national level”, “evaluation system of academic publication”, and “lack of overseas academic database” during the process of internationalization at JUFE. The first suggestion is to support faculty members at JUFE to apply for “Yangtse River Scholar” and “Thousand Talents Program” to help JUFE become the “Hundred years elite” school. The second suggestion is to refer to the evaluation system of academic publication at the overseas famous school to promote the research ability at JUFE. The third suggestion is to cooperate with other Chinese universities to purchase the overseas academic database. The fourth suggestion is to set up a double-track promotion program in rank and salary to encourage local faculty members to publish papers in overseas academic journals.
